FPA Exhibition in Fujairah City Centre

H.E. Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of Fujairah Emiri Court and Vice-Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority (FCMA) inaugurated on Monday, September 16/ 2013, a photography exhibition at Fujairah City Center showcasing the winning entries and other selected entries from the Fujairah Photography Award (FPA). The inauguration was in the presence of Fujairah City Center's manager Mr. Majid Al Fahim, FCMA's executive manager Mr. Ibrahim Allan and a number of senior officers of FCMA and the media.

The exhibition features 50 selected photos innovatively highlighting heritage and nature in Fujairah and the Arab World. These photos were taken by a group of professional photographers who were honored recently at the FPA's award distribution ceremony under the patronage and presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah.

Speaking to Fujairah News, Al Dhanhani said; "This exhibition is organized keeping with the directives of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, FCMA's Chairman to promote Fujairah's cultural and historical landmarks through FPA's exhibitions, especially in major shopping malls" he said. Adding; "Our next exhibitions will be in Dubai and Abu Dhabi," he added.

The showcased photos include the winning entries of the award taken by the following photographers: Fahad Abdulla (1st Prize), Abdul Rasoul Al Jabri (2nd Prize) and Yousif Sibaa (3rd Prize). The winners of the local competition were: Karim Sahib (1st Prize), Saeed Abdulla Jumouh (2nd Prize) and Donell Gumiran (3rd Prize). The Grand Prize was won by photographer Mario B. Cardenas, and the Discretionary Prize was awarded to Sulaiman Ahmed Al Hammadi.
